Origins

It started with a controller and a CRT. Super Mario RPG taught me that a turn could be a puzzle. Joust and Rampage taught me that arcades don't hand you anything. By the time I found Diablo's loot loop and the original StarCraft, I wasn't playing to beat the game — I was playing to understand it.

Some kids wanted to win. I wanted to know why the winning move was the winning move.

The Craft

I'm happiest inside a deep system. Brood War macro — the relentless arithmetic of larva, minerals and map control. WoW raids — a dozen people executing one clean plan. Factorio trains and Satisfactory belts — building a machine that builds the machine. I'm an RTS god by temperament and a simulator enjoyer by choice: give me ratios, tech trees, and a tactical knot to untie, and the hours vanish.

  • Strategy & RTS: StarCraft / Brood War, the macro game, the read-and-react.
  • ARPG & RPG: Diablo's itemization, the build math, the breakpoints.
  • Simulation & automation: Factorio, Satisfactory — throughput as an art form.

The Library

Off the screen, I live in books. Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar saga is home turf — magicians, worlds bleeding into worlds, the long game of empires. I'm Ravenclaw to the marrow: wit, depth, the conviction that knowledge sharpened into skill is the truest kind of power. The Arcanum is that belief made into a website.

Storms, Forests & the Coast

I'm pulled to lightning. The crack of a storm, the charge in the air before it breaks — that's the energy I want a page to feel like. Between storms I'm under a forest canopy or on a beach at the edge of a gray ocean. Emerald green and electric blue aren't just my colors; they're the two halves of the world I keep coming back to.

The aestheticAncient arcane library meets neon-drenched forge. Circuit traces fused with runes. A thunderhead over a pine line, rendered in code.

The Mark

There's a tattoo I'm forging for the forearm: cybernetic skin peeled back to reveal the Ravenclaw crest beneath — circuitry and arcane sigils woven together, an eagle in chrome and bronze, a thunderbolt running the seam. Half machine, half magic. It's the whole thesis on one arm: the old power and the new, forged into one.

Why The Arcanum Exists

Most guides are thin, ad-choked, and written by people who never hit the wall they're describing. I write the guide I wanted: deep, current, honest — the builds, the math, the enemy tactics, and the secrets the tutorials skip. One game at a time, done properly, for the ones who play to master.
