The road to the moon

1. Baron & the Crystals. Cecil falls from grace as a Dark Knight, then sets out to stop Baron's hunt for the Crystals.
2. Mount Ordeals. Cecil becomes a Paladin — the turning point of his kit and the story.
3. The Underworld. The Dwarves, the mysterious Golbez, and the fight over the Dark Crystals.
4. The Moon. Board the Lunar Whale, meet FuSoYa, push through the Giant of Babil, and descend the Lunar Subterrane.
5. Zeromus. The true final enemy beneath it all — the source of the whole conflict.

Major bosses

• The Four Elemental Fiends — Scarmiglione (earth/undead, hit with Cura/holy and watch his second form's back attack), Cagnazzo (water, weak to lightning — interrupt his wall), Barbariccia (wind — her tornado guard is broken by Kain's Jump), and Rubicante (fire/ice — honorable: he heals you when he cloaks his cloak, so strike when it's open; he's weak to ice when fire-cloaked and vice-versa).
• Golbez & the Elements — recurring story bosses; bring Reflect and status control.
• The Giant of Babil — a gauntlet of mechanical bosses on the way through the Giant.

Beating Zeromus

• The Crystal. Zeromus' true, vulnerable form is revealed when the party uses the Crystal — an early action in the fight, not optional.
• The opening salvo. FuSoYa and Golbez hit it with Meteor to start; then it's your five.
• Watch for Big Bang. His heavy multi-target nuke can wipe an unprepared party — keep everyone topped, consider Cecil Covering a low ally, and have Rosa ready with full-party heals (Curaja).
• Damage plan. Rydia's Bahamut, Edge's Throw (top shuriken/weapons), Kain's Jump, Paladin Cecil swinging — and Rosa never skipping a heal. Bring Reflect to bounce some of its magic.
