Baron to Fabul

Chapter 1 checklist

• Baron intro; accept Crystal delivery mission
• Mist Cave: Mist Dragon; Mist Village tragedy; Rydia joins
• Kaipo: Rosa sick; desert to Antlion’s Nest for Sand Ruby
• Edward joins; Antlion boss; cure Rosa
• Mt. Hobs: Mom Bomb; Yang joins
• Fabul siege; defend the castle; Golbez / Kain scene
• Strip gear from anyone about to leave when the game allows
• Mysidia / Leviathan (Ch.2)

Baron Castle & Mist Cave

1. Play the airship return and throne scenes. King orders Cecil to deliver a ring/package to the village of Mist with Kain.
2. Buy armor/weapons in Baron town if needed. Dark Knight Cecil’s Darkness hurts him as well as enemies — use sparingly.
3. Cross the overworld to the Mist Cave.
4. Boss: Mist Dragon. When it becomes mist, stop physicals (they rebound); resume when solid. Rydia’s mother’s dragon — story weight after.
5. Mist Village burns from the package. Rydia is orphaned; she joins after scenes. Put her in the back row.
6. Kain is separated by story after Mist; party becomes Cecil + Rydia for the desert stretch.

Kaipo, Rosa, Antlion

1. Reach Kaipo oasis town. Rosa is fevered / desert fever plot.
2. Edward (Tellah’s path crosses; Edward joins as bard). Keep him back row; use Heal / Hide as needed.
3. Cross the desert (night/day sand monsters) to the Antlion’s Nest / Cave.
4. Boss: Antlion. Straightforward; Cure with items/Rydia if she has magic; Edward’s songs if available.
5. Obtain the Sand Ruby; return to Kaipo; cure Rosa. She joins as White Mage — back row, forever valuable.
6. Tellah may join briefly around this arc searching for Anna — equip him, strip if he storms off after Fabul/Damcyan events.

Mt. Hobs & Fabul

1. Climb Mt. Hobs. Ice wall needs a monk’s power — meet Yang.
2. Boss: Mom Bomb (and bomb phases). Kill adds; focus the main body; Heal through explosions.
3. Yang joins. Front row monk fists.
4. Continue to Fabul. Prepare for the siege sequence (scripted battles defending floors).
5. Golbez / Kain betrayal scene steals a crystal and Rosa. Party reels toward the next ship voyage.
6. After Fabul, you head for a ship to Baron/Mysidia — Chapter 2 begins with Leviathan.
