Final Fantasy XV

Lucis · A road trip of kings · Royal / Windows Edition

An open-world action-RPG about four friends, one car, and a kingdom in ruins. You play Noctis — warping between foes, juggling four weapons mid-swing, and bending the elements. The depth hides in the Ascension grid, elemancy spellcrafting, and a leveling system that only banks EXP when you rest.

Overview & core systems

  • You only control Noctis. Real-time action — hold to attack, hold to defend/phase, and warp-strike to teleport onto enemies. The other three fight on their own, but you trigger their Techniques.
  • Four weapons at once. Noctis equips four slots and switches on the fly — different weapon types cover air combos, parries, ranged pokes and armor breaks.
  • MP runs everything. Warping, phasing and Armiger drain MP; hit zero and you enter Stasis until you point-warp to a perch and recover.
  • Ascension is the build tree. Spend AP across grids (Combat, Techniques, Teamwork, Magic, Recovery, Exploration, Stats) — this is where Noctis actually gets stronger.
  • EXP banks at rest. You earn EXP constantly but only cash it in when you sleep — and lodging/food multipliers can multiply a whole day's haul. Plan big rests.
  • Elemancy, not a spell list. Draw elemental energy from the world and craft consumable spells, tuning their power and side-effects with items.
  • The complete version. This guide targets the Royal / Windows Edition — with Armiger Unleashed, the Insomnia ruins, the Royal Vessel, and the menace dungeons folded in.
